I dare say others have seen it before. Does anyone know, is it the last day at Cernay?

The CFDT as seen in the last frame are one of the large French trade unions so it may well have been the last days.

Perhaps someone can date some of the models under construction.

Shame hey!

Wonder if they are still made like that?

The handwritten message on the piece of cardboard reads "Dernière caravane Eriba; 62104204; 31/03/2010" - (Last Eriba caravan, serial number, date.)

Can anyone tell from the serial number what model it was?

Wouldn't it be great to own the last van to come off the production line!

You can see why they are so expensive, there is a lot of work that goes into each Eriba.

Here’s a rather nice story related to me this morning by a member of the French Eriba Forum forumeribatouring.com. I hope I’ve got it right.

Following the closure of the Cernay factory, 2 former employees created a small business called “The Recreational Vehicle Workshop” and they now look after many Eribas belonging to members of the forum.

In December 2013 an Eriba Familia skeleton structure came up for sale at an Eriba dealership in La Rochelle. French Forum members though it would be a nice idea to buy this structure and donate it to the Cernay workshop as a permanent display so clubbed together and raised enough money to purchase it.

To commemorate this purchase and the demise of Cernay, they have organised an Eriba Rally at Cernay for June 2014 when the structure will be returned to its birthplace.

Where and when exactly R. - can't find anything about it on the site you posted? I hadn't realised that Cernay was so close to one of our regular campsites and might take a peek at what's going on lol.

Thanks for that, Roger, and I note you made a couple of posts in it. That said, three pages through and I still wasn't able to make out at what campsite the meeting will be held. Could you make headway in that thread other than the repeated mention of Sauerkraut.

Mais oui monsieur. "It's all about exercising those little grey cells"...

a) The mention of it being close to Cernay
b) The mention of it being an ACSI site.
c) The pictures of the site showing many storks.
d) The French for stork is Cigogne.

Yes, well we all can't be Poirot can we? Darn smart a!!!! By the way, I'd never have found it using my Garmin cos it has a campsite by the name of Municipal Les Acacias on that road with no mention of yours.
