Most people know the names of many of our british birds,
if you are lucky you see them in your own gardens.
So why when you are having a cuppa in your caravan do
strange unknown birds appear, why don't you know what
they are?
Often at night you will hear strange calls, is it a bird, a mammal,
or the people coming back from the pub late?
Are you even aware of the wildlife around you? well this is a
shameless plug for http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/forums/

Amazed by the amount of roadkill we saw on the way to and from York last week - about a dozen badgers, some tiny little deer, a few pet pussy cats and lots of pheasants. Lord knows how many poor creatures must have crawled away to die out of sight of the road.

Badgers and Deer are the ones to take note of, I had a near miss with a badger
and my workmate from Keynsham (who usually shares cars with me) was
following a few minutes behind hit it, his car was written off.
Another lad coming from the Blagdon direction hit a deer the size of a labrador,
again his car was totalled.
