Can anyone remember?

In May we take our grandkids to Anglesey for a weeks holiday in a cottage. Usually our daughter moves in to look after the dogs which gives us plenty of room in our large boot for all the luggage. This year she will be on holiday herself so the dogs will take up the luggage space as they will come with us. We have researched hiring a trailer or roofbox for the week and apart from the expense we would have to provide insurance leave a large deposit and knowing how things usually turn out for us something would happen to whatever we hired. Second hand trailers go for megga bucks yet tend to get snapped up. I can remember in a cc mag possibly last year what looked like a bike rack that fitted onto the towbar but was suitable for transporting suitcases etc. I can't for the life of me remember the companies name, can anyone?

Couldn't Doo Dah be a temporary trailer?

Do you know, that's just what we would have loved to do, take doods with us then we could have more family members stay as well but the lanes that we go down to the cottage are narrow and very bumpy and he would get scratched.

Instead of a box there are bags from around £50 here is an example.

Ellen, whereabouts are you? We have a small trailer you are welcome to borrow if it's any help. We are in Lincoln.
Julie.

Hi Julie, it's very kind of you to offer but we are over the other side in Bury, Lancs. I think we may go for one of the racks that you attached to the towball as even if we were to buy one of the cargo bags there would be roof bars etc to have to fit. We thought the days of not having enough car space was behind us but even with a 7 seater car we still struggle fitting in kids, dogs and luggage. I think what we need is a bus.

I am having one made .....actually

It is easier to cram stuff in a flexible bag than into a rigid box

Hi Ellen, know what you mean about the car. Our 6 seater Multipla is getting old now, 13 years and theoretically there is just the 2 of us so we are thinking smaller car. Then I remember the 4 grandkids, my parents with wheelchair and realise that a small car is probably not going to work. Hey ho.
