We have just purchased a Brightly Coloured Clock from Lidl.
130mm dia x 45mm deep
Silent Action.
Good Robust Quality
Luminous Face
Huge Range of "Gaudy" Colours as well as Black or White
Good Balance when free standing (not when towing though)
Provision for Wall Fixing.

We though it was worth a go for £4.99 and are very pleased with it (so Far)

Just what we've been looking for for months.

Thanks, Roger.

Now, in view of your recent comments about fairy lights, flag poles, bingo and American Suppers, I'm not sure if I should be reading "Irony" into your comment?

Be careful using that phrase when there's a proper American around.

I've got one here, and she has no idea what it's supposed to mean

Incidentally, do you mind me asking if you've got a problem with your bold button?

It seems to be stuck on...

Stop being a cheeky git, le Pew, and show some respect for your elders and betters. What a man does with his bold button is personal.

Anyway, smarty pants, I've been out this morning and bought a Roger-recommended black Lidl clock. So there.

It's the epitome of chic unlike the tarnished old Louis XIV ormulu mantel clock that sits on your poxy, retro-fitted chopping flap.

Is that the corned beef variety Derek?

ps. As Pepe is obviously a little "sensitive" today, I've given up using the BOLD BUTTON. Apologies to those old fogies like me who have trouble reading the threads

Not in the slightest. I was hoping you'd see it as joshing, the way it was intended.

You probably know already, but pressing ctrl/+ or ctrl/- (or ctrl/scroll if you're using a mouse with a wheel) zooms or unzooms a PC or laptop screen if copy is difficult to read.

This is the clock in black.

The white one would also be suitable but the contrast between the black background and the silver/luminous white hands made the black one easier to read at a glance.

So, what colour did you get then, Rog?

Welsh dragon red is my bet.

No siree. When I spotted them, I rooted around and came up with the last black one in the store.

However when Mrs Randa appeared on the scene she rather fancied a purple one to match a lot of our other accessories. Therefore we had to come to a compromise:-

We've got a purple one
