Help please.
in the front locker where the gas bottles go, we noticed that our smallest uk bottle 3.9kg is too big/fat to fit in the frame, you could fit 2 in but the clamp that is suppose to hold the bottles tight wont go round them, obviously continental ones were smaller, what do you do about this please. As our uk bottles will be able to move and bang about while on the move and cause damaged.

Ratchet strap? Pound shops sell them, not sure if that helps or not?

I can't comment on the sizes of UK bottles as we only carry 2 x 907 Camping Gaz bottles in our locker but you can purchase new Gas Bottle Brackets from a number of Caravan outlets and Ebay. You would probably need to contact them first to ensure they will fit your bottles.

Hi Star'
What van have you got ? My Triton 2003 runs with 1x6kg calorlite and 1x3.9kg propane calor.
The smaller one sits on a wooden shelf' with room underneath for 4x wooden levelling blocks. Straps then tighten round the body of the bottle.
Ian.

This is our set-up as described by logburner and Poptop540. We hardly ever use gas and use the EHU for cooking, fridge and heating.

The CampinGaz 907 bottle is used with our Cadac Safari Chef and as an emergengy gas supply for use on the Continent where Calor bottles are not available.
