We suddenly saw this as we walked past a van in the car park of the Douaumont Ossuary, Verdun. Jumped out of our skins...........
Just had to take a photo.

Roger has just made me aware of the hidden chapter, I have had or been involved with bikes most my life. Recently just sold my triumph speed triple cracking bike really enjoyed. I still have my Yamaha XT660X another cracking bike engine and will run for ever.

I have been fortunate to have rode many sports bikes on clear roads which are now congested. My favourite being Kirby Lonsdale over Ribble Head, if there was only one place to sit it would be on that wall with a brew.

I've both cycled and driven the road around the back of Monte Baldo in years past even came across drivers towing caravans which on some of the narrow roads must have been a bit scary.

That brings a flood of memories back around 1975 ish I had an MZ Trophy Sport 250cc in red a cracking design with a massive big red petrol tank as I remember. The problem was when I owned this bike I was the fittest I had ever been it set off well every trip but I had to push home or to a safe place where I could collect later. As said hell of looking bike but no end of trouble never found the problem even stripped down engine but still did not improve. I ended up selling and the parts where hard to get hold of from where I lived.

That was a forgotten chapter just rekindled the memories there,

Hi Morphy, ive done a bit of pushing as well good fun, i dont think so. On my Trophy the petrol tank and light are joined together so when you turn the handlebars the light follows about 10mins later. As i said good fun.Had mine ten years now its the one bike i will never sell. A good old stinkwheel, its like the old ww2 films where the Captain says make smoke no1 so they become invisible,i can do the same if i ride round in a circle.

If I remember it did not bounce well either having come off a couple of times I was young rode everything head down a@se up. Yeah I agree it was one of them bikes that grew on you. That kick start kick, kick, kick, flood the carb wait a while dry the plug put the plug in the oven warm it up try again, memories.
I have an xt660x Yamaha single cylinder a cracking bike I have had all sorts but this has a sole. I was thinking I could not live with it but the longer I keep it the more I like it.

Its a dark art to start a Mz because the kick start is on the wrong side. Such fun.

During this year's Summer Meet, we discovered that a number of our newer members are Bikers or Bike enthusiasts. I thought I'd give this thread a "bump" for their benefit.

Any new posts and/or pics are welcome.
