All very well in a nice dry garage!
When we're packing up, our mains cable is usually filthy and wet.

Cheers Mark

I suspect 10mins in the company of Dirt Farmer Jay would do it.

We discussed this back in June 2014.

I've seen that alternative method but you would have to be pretty strong to hold a 25 meter hook up cable in one hand like that. Also this method allows you to unravel just the amount you need without any induction effect.

Don't forget that as often as not the cable will be wet and dirty when you stow it. The 'reverse thumb' method allows you to pull it through a piece of cloth while it is being coiled so that it is clean and dry when stowed.

Neither method works for me. Bought a reel instead.

I thought reversed thumbs was a sign of something sinister. It'd get you burnt at the stake in day's past.
