Hello, trying to find weights for my 1978 Puck that I purchased last week. SN is 133205. The weights on my plates don't correspond to weights for an identical one which I found that had sold on Google. Pictures hopefully attached.
Many Thanks
Trev Bailey

Welcome Trev. I 'm afraid there is no simple answer. Specifications changed from year to year so what may appear go be an identical van will not be.
The second photo cannot refer go a Puck as the 1300 kg is obviously for a far bigger van.
I would advise a few hours internet searching for a 1978 ish brochure. When you find one that lists Pick with a max load of 470 kg you should also find an empty load.

Thanks Colin. I will have to do that. The problem is my plate gives me 80kg less loading than the one that I found online which had an unladen of 410. A considerable difference. I think the one with 1300kg on may be the maximum that the chassis could carry for a larger model.

Didn't take long to find and all these models correspond to the 470 so gives me a good loading capacity. I think I will nip it down to the weighbridge tomorrow and see what the empty weight comes out at then I can estimate what to put in the van and what to put in the car.

It's a bit of a nightmare! My 1997 Puck only has the max load weight of 600kg shown on the plate. Like yourself I need to get it down to the weighbridge to see what the starting weight is not that I'll add anything when I tow with my Morris Traveller. Everything has to go into that to balance the books...

Trev,

the online spec that you found for your Puck - were other models covered, for example a 1994 Familia, I am confused regarding the unladen/maximum laden weights for this one.?

If so, I would be interested in the web address - thanks

Dave

Hi Trev. I'm not able to answer you fully at the moment as I'm on a pesky phone and not a laptop.
I have however "bumped" a thread entitled "how to date your Eriba". One of my posts has a useful link to the French forum that shows ID plates and date listing.
Perhaps you or someone could use this to help you with your question.

The list on the French forum confirms other '133' Pucks being 1978. I think it is the weight that is at issue for most of us.
