With so many options when buying an Eriba there should be a "No Table" option with a minus value price tag

Hi again
What's really baffled us is for a caravan that seems to evolve with time more thought hasn't gone into the table.

Surely the centre chest could have been adapted to have a rail to clip the fairly standard single adjustable leg table onto so as to be used inside and outside the caravan.

Very best regards Tom

Please see my note - earlier in this thread. AL did such an adaptation to the original heavy folding table for us when we bought the van - bit pricey but worth it. (I think the standard one leg table - as in the 530 - would be too wide to fit to the centre chest).

Hi Magpie

I read the post but I still think Eriba could do it as standard.

Surely it would be better to buy a caravan with a properly sorted table situation than have to pay someone to modify the given table yourself at a cost.

There's ample room to store a table under the nearside seat.

I can't really see it being a major job to re-design for a standard one leg table.

Best regards

Tom

I agree. It would be better if you could have a choice.

Well our table is hanging on the garage wall wrapped in cardboard where it has remained since our first trip. The cupboard between the beds is in the loft, minus it’s top which has grown a leg and is a (easily removable) coffee table in its original location between the beds. Much easier to stow when you want to make up the bed. Having recently checked the nose weight and found it to be just under 40kg I shudder to think what it would be with the table and cupboard in their normal travelling positions, well aft of the axle. No wonder the ride was a little bouncy compared to our 310.

With the chest and the supplied table in our 420GT was still heavier on the nose than our old 430GT.
We just balance it back until we get correct noseweight for the car.
Try balancing the original Bailey Pegasus ours was around 100kg before we even loaded it.

All the best

Tom

I just bought a roll top table to replace the original one in our 420. This fits between the two seats ok, though it is a little wider than the original one but should be ok for us. Packs down nicely and weighs in at about 3.5KG which is a big improvement on the original one.

What I like about your table is the legs. You can get your feet past them.

Yes, you do have to avoid kicking the leg but no different to the big table. We like it although haven't tested it in anger yet.

We have a roll-up table we tend to use outside and it's fine, but nowhere near as versatile as the previously mentioned one we bought from Olypa.
The Olypa one can be lifted to different heights or folded flat in a jiffy.
We're really pleased with it.
Best regards

Tom
