Has anyone had their jockey wheel twist/buckle?

Hi

The jockey wheel and tyre on our Troll appears to have buckled slightly - a bit like when you buckled your bike tyres when you bounced up kerbs going too fast. This means that it is catching on the sides of the jockey wheel frame as it turns round. It doesn't totally stick but it is clearly wearing the edge of one part of the solid rubber tyre.

Has this happened to other people?

I would guess that the only solution is to purchase a replacement Jockey wheel. the Alko ones seem to be about £39. What is the one that fits a 2016 Troll?
Should I take this opportunity to replace it with a different/Better one?

I've looked at YouTube at replacing one and it looks pretty easy - are these famous last words...............

I will try to send a photo later

I don't know whether this might be a possibility. A couple of years ago, I was manoeuvering the van on some sloping ground and had the front very low where the van had been levelled. As the van turned, the jockey wheel swung and got stuck against the metal 'triangle' that points down from the draw bar. In this instance, it tore the tyre off the solid centre of the jockey wheel. I suppose something similar could have happened to yours? The only reason I noticed it at the time was that on soft ground, it took quite a divot...

Thanks Cabbie

I wonder with ours if it has happened whilst using the motor mover and bouncing up a kerb that was higher than I thought?

I've just replaced the old and perished jockey wheel on our Triton. It's a pneumatic 260mm wheel with a 20mm spindle bore. Easy to fit, just needed to remove the securing pin. Got it from eBay £17.50 delivered. If you remove yours and measure the relevant parts you'll soon find something suitable to replace yours.
