Roger,
I believe you've already got a centrall bracket on your awning rail. How about a stubby tTbar droped into this with pipe insulation around the top of the T.

Yes, that's what we are thinking as a central roof bar. We have a huge range of poles left over from the multitude of tents we have in the garage. The one I've dug out was an adjustable steel side wall bracing pole for a Gelert wobbly jelly nissen hut tent we own.
This tent also came with the flexy fibreglass poles which we might utilise for the back wall verticals tied to the flappy doors and slotted into the pool noodle bags that colin (fishcultureman) suggested on another thread. If not the poles then our thoughts turn to vertical drops of thick shock cord fixed to the awning rail at the top and pegged at the bottom.
Although we have a relatively new 500mm drop awning skirt, now that we have declared our old Clairval awning u/s we may use part of the roof to cut down and use as a bigger drop awning skirt that will tuck well under the ground sheet.

Roger,

From my experience there are a number of ways that the caravan end of the anti-pooling central roof bar can be secured. But the other end (ie the outer end) is much more difficult to securely locate especially with the Bondi. Let's hope it is easier with the Sunncamp? Your solution might work on the Bondi also?

When I studied a few pics of the Sunncamp David, it does look as though it's got some kind of interior loop hanging just behind the top of the arched pole. Worth "vestigating" anyway as our 6year old granddaughter used to say. (she's grown up now and is 8).

Our eldest daughter talked about her 'consequential quilt' (continental) and also went to 'cremation classes' (confirmation)!

Recieved our Sunncamp Swift Verao 260 Low today and at first inspection we are very impressed. Coming from a tenting background and spending many hours chatting about improvements, it would appear that the designers of this product have thought about it long and hard and have added a lot of features that we discussed between ourselves years ago.

1) The bag is plenty large enough to pack away the tent and poles without stuffing them in and sitting on them. It also has additional tightening clips to squeeze it all together when packed.
2) The steel poles are sturdy and the pegs, ladders and guy ropes are of good quality.
3) As I thought, the inside of the roof at centre ridge and centre eaves, have toggle rings attached (see pics) and the Instruction Manual does talk of Integral Pole Pockets and Roof Pole as an additional accessory. Can't find the pole pockets on their website however and we already have a roof pole from our own stock, earmarked.
4) Material is rather lightweight but what do you expect for £159?
5) A double awning rail bead, 6mm for the Eriba and 4mm for a campervan stitched beneath it. Therefore, there's a double thickness of material at the awning rail which adds to the stiffness at that point.

Next job is to wait for as break in the weather and try it on for fit.
