We drove through Alesund looking for a campsite but we couldn't find it so ended up camping to the east at Mjelva. Looked like a lovely city but not much fun towing an Eriba through it. The campsite was supposed to be near the football stadium but we couldn't find that either

If you can arrange a crane with a very long boon I reckon 7 in the back and about 10 in the front plus another 2 on the drive.
I've only got one outside socket for hook ups though.

38C9154C-3733-474D-AABB-42A989906317.jpeg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)Thank you, I’ve got a lot of pics..three other VW’s joined me that night , in Finnmark , we shared the display . It was a solar storm perfectly timed and non stop for 8 hours .
The next trip is September 2021 , which is the best time for Northern Lights if any one wants to join . We could make it a joint Eriba VW meet. There’s a fab camping in Alta, in fact several and that’s one of the best places to see the Northern lights , or nearby away from the city lights .
There are many VW owners who want to go next year , I guess of the 20 or so who would like to 5 or so will actually make it , some of the VW owners have Eribas too.
If we were going this year it would have to start because of the Covid restrictions in Sweden and then move over the border from the North as that’s allowed , or was . Don’t know what next year will bring but I’m definitely going to go if it is at all possible.
