I’ve been reading some worrying things about batteries recently so thought I’d have a look at ours. Tried looking on online but no use. Can anyone tell me what type of battery an Alphaline XV24 MF is?

Wet (i.e. not AGM or gel), sealed and supposedly maintenance-free calcium.

There's a spec sheet from Tayna here.

If you want more info, Google XV24MF, leaving off the Alphaline bit.

We've bought batteries from Tayna before now. Very efficient and a quick delivery

Thanks chaps. I guess what all the technical guff means is that the battery is safe without a vent pipe sat under the bench seat 🤞🏻
