Whilst on the subject of spare wheels/tyres, I recently got a new set of tyres. The spare which had never been used has presumably been in its cage for the past 6 1/2 years, and had a couple of deep dents in the side wall where the tyre rests on the carrier frame. It would probably be a good idea to rotate the spare a little each month or so. I also got a couple of steel wheels for £39 each to use for the new tyres, and kept the old ones to use when the caravan is just sat on the drive and swap them over with the new ones prior to a trip. This also makes it much easier getting the new tyres fitted. The new wheels have tapered seats rather than rounded ones of the original so got a set of tapered bolts whilst I was at it.
