Side strip discolouration

The top quarter round segment of the side strip on my 2005 Triton has discoloured (please see photo). Has anyone had success with returning it to pristine whiteness? It seems to be hard and is very even, so I'm guessing it's not a gun-applied sealant?

I have seem other people on here mention a weakened bleach solution - is this the best way to go?

If you have white simplex finish then be careful with the meths, it dissolves the thin paint.

Sorry to report that the meths didn't work. the bit of strip I tried is now purplish rather than red...

Masking tape the paintwork and try some Ciff/Jiff and a toothbrush.

Will try this tomorrow if I have time before we leave - though maybe while we are away...

I'm a great fan of Cif - it's really good for removing tannin from cups and mugs.
