Many owners take the diy approach. The likes of Leisureshop Direct and Clearcut Conversions can supply legs and table edge profile for you to add to a nice piece of plywood or kitchen door as your table surface.

We used a B&Q (other makes are available) kitchen door, it was perfect, already edged. Very simple job.
