Herzim strip

Hi I have a gap in my herzim strip on my awning rail about 4 ins. Reveeling a awning rail screw. Can any body tell me what is the usual size herzim strip would fit our 2015 troll so I can put a piece in .....cheers Phil.

Pull a metre or two out of the channel from each side of the gap and stretch them out so they overlap at the original join by an inch or so.

Then use a run of sealant (not silicone) to bond the ends down into the channel after butting them together so they meet.

(If you try to butt them together without any overlap then by the time you get back up the ladder with your sealant gun the two ends will have moved away from each other).

Something like this should do the trick - just make sure all surfaces are clean and dry for best results,

I completely agree with Mr E - it's great stuff that Soudal Crystal Clear. I have just done exactly the same job using it.


New to us, our 2016 Eriba 540 Troll, leading our Volvo V40 astray...
