just wondered if there's any recommendations on caravan insurance. you can easily get cheaper insurance but as usual it depends on the cover & if it ever came down to it what there like to deal with.

I've never had to claim but originally went to Lifesure due to a trade recommendation of one of the parents of a student I used to teach. They are also amongst the cheapest.

We used Safeguard for the last 2 years, who sold us a policy from Davis Group insurance.
We had to claim for a total loss last summer, and while they were slower to pay out than we would have hoped, they did pay in full, new for old.

After a quick look around last May, we renewed with them. £400 for £38000 cover plus contents etc.
I keep trying Caravan Guard each year, but they can’t match the renewal quotes.

Has anyone similar experience with the more budget end?

With Ping last year but they could not be bothered to quote for this year 'til after the renewal date. Went with Frank Pickles in the end £105. 2007Troll

I re-insured again with Caravan Guard, probably not the cheapest but very busy with work & didn’t have time to check everyone
