Hopefully it’s all moving in the right direction. £322 sounds a lot better than quotes I was getting of over a £1000 before settling with a managed bank account which gives worldwide travel cover with a far more reasonable medical surcharge of £195. That’s obviously on top of the monthly charge of £18. Fingers crossed for you Brian, that phone call will happen soon.

This thread has added to a feeling of melancholy, all related to our battles against time and its related illnesses. Kath & I were only discussing ways to camp in France again, only yesterday, whilst on site in Southport. How far would our diminishing energy levels allow us to go?

Since my involvement with the Eriba community a decade ago I have enjoyed the spirit of individuality and sense of humour in the many ironic and often mischievous posts. Inevitably we are getting older and it is a struggle to prevent this narrowing of our horizons, and preventing us doing the things that we have taken for granted in our lives. Hopefully we can summon up the energy and be inventive in ways we can find to continue doing what we love, for as long as we can.

Good luck to one and all suffering ill-health and dealing with the stressful consequences, such as the insurance issues and worse.

I'm so sorry to hear about your current medical problems, Mick, and send you my and Wendy's very best wishes for a full and swift recovery.

We both hope that one day we'll be able to meet you and your wife again to enjoy a few drinks in the awning under the evening sun like we did in Provence all those years ago. I can still see you waving to me as I drove off absolutely soaked to the skin after clearing our pitch in a torrential downpour while wearing a totally useless allegedly 'waterproof' jacket. Happy memories.
