The 6XX Series

I've been cogitating on the 620, 630 and 642 and wondering what on earth Hymer were thinking off.

I love the idea of the extra length, the tower fridge and the option to have a proper cooker, but none of the three layouts fit my needs.

I want a bed that I can get out of without disturbing Mrs SDA or vice versa, so a fixed bed across the van isn't on.

I want a separate seating area with enough room for four so that we can have guests to triomino tournaments and in the morning I can leave Mrs SDA sleeping whilst I sup tea at the other end of the van.

So the 620's no good because it has no second sitting area as the front is full of kitchen

The 630's no good 'cos it has a fixed rear bed where you sleep across the van.

And the 642's no good because the front seating is nowhere big enough for four people.

In addition the opportunity to make a larger washroom hasn't been taken.

I recall our two 540's with nostalgia and such a van with a wider front dinette, tower fridge and cooker would be great. Any chance of a 640?

I had nothing to do on this hot afternoon

Have a look at the feeling 470. All it lacks on your list is a decent bathroom.

We replaced our Feeling 425 earlier this year for a Nova Light 465 (Hymer have renamed the Light range to NovaLine for 2026).

The build quality in my opinion far exceeds the Touring range; the washroom is twice the size and the two opening skylights have been a boon during this summers warm weather.

Anyway, it seems to address most of your needs bar the tower fridge and the price tag, so maybe worth considering, Andy.
