State of the market

I've just been browsing on the internet and looked at the Highbridge website.

We visited both their sites this time last and the Somerset branch had a massive number of Tourings on display then.

Checking now and they list 18 brand new Eribas, split between Somerset and Devon. But when you look more closely 5 of thoe 18 are vans from the 2023 Model Year. Given that the 2026 Model Year commences tomorrow, those 'new' vans could be have been made in September 2022 and be three years old. They are being discounted, by about £5,000 per van.

11 of the 18 'new' vans are 2024MY stock and they're discounted by about £3,000 each and there are just two 2025MY vans with no discount shown.

By contrast Highbridge have just three used Eribas in stock, two 320's and a 420.

It's prettyy obvious that Highbridge over bought in 2023 and 2024 but pulled in the reigns in 2025.

Those 18 vans represent about £0.5m sitting in their display areas.

I had nothing to do on this hot afternoon

They had a 2016 540 in April - I bought it (at a very good price) - at the same time they had just sold a Feeling. My Troll had been sat at the Devon branch for months, but had just moved to Somerset when I bought it. I'm guessing they are mostly trade-ins. They didn't seem to be particularly Eriba-savvy...
