Nothing to stop retired folk from setting their clocks however it suits them.
There are badgers flying and calling around 4:00am nearly every morning here.

Damn those flying badgers.

Please be aware that this coming weekend the clocks will change to winter time hours.

British Summer Time ends for another year.

At least that means the car clock will be right again......for the next six months. Once upon a time you just twiddled the knob - now you need the manual, a degree in Chinglish (Chinese English manual speak) or a 10 year old child just to set the clock in a car.
I often wonder what is the opposite of progress - congress???

How funny. Exactly what I said to my daughter yesterday. It will take a while to remember that the car clock is correct!

Some modern cars receive a carrier signal from the radio broadcasts which resets the clock.

Summer time begins next weekend in the UK with clocks going forward by 1 hour computers should re set the time automatically if configured correctly.

Digital clock radios will reset automatically if you tune to the BBC and leave it on for a while .......... there is a carrier wave in the signal that resets the clocks on a regular basis when the radio is on with a BBC station, similarly some modern cars will do the same ............. not sure about FM radio though.

The rest is down to human error
