A little impatient are we? ;)

We are enjoying a few days peace in the house now all the family have gone, before we fly to Switzerland on Tuesday to ring in the new year for a fortnight. Next time we go there it will be in our new Triton in the summer. We can't wait for her to be delivered!

Happy New Year everyone

Yes, thought we should get it in early as we expected a few forum members to be away for the New Year. Have a great time.

Happy new year to you all too. 2014 can't come soon enough as it is new van time! (And trying to make it a new car year too!)
We will be celebrating in a quaint cottage in Snowdonia

A happy and healthy New Year 2014 to one and all.

Posted early in case I manage to blow both my hands off on the big night.

May your wheels turn,
May your pitches be perfect,
May towing be a delight.
May your tops pop
and your hitches be silent
Forever after this night.

Here's Mrs SDA's version too:

'And may your bbqs light
Your days be bright
And your pitches level and flat
The toilets clean
The wardens not mean
Happy camping in 2014'

Not a good start.

Blowing a hoolie (whatever one of them is) and damping like it's going out of fashion.

Donned my waterproof trousers and jacket for walking the beardie, who was given a rare outing with his waterproof dog coat as well.

We got most of the way round our 'usual' walk but I gave the last 50 yds a miss and turned tail as we moved out into open country and lost the shelter of houses.

Stamp me though, as we were ambling back we passed under a couple of trees and there, amidst the storm and pestilence, was the sweet sound of ............ birdsong. Birdsong on New Years Day, I can't recall hearing it before. I judge that it was a pair of robins though I couldn't see them. Maybe our tame wildlife botherer would care to speculate?

Robins would be right as the only 'winter singing' British birds.
