Water integrity test

Has anyone actually observed the so-called annual water integrity test being executed on their van or if not, know of the officially laid down (written) method of how to conduct this test?
One reads from time to time of small damp patches/areas that appear on owners van which got me to wondering whether this test is actually being performed as it should be. Surely it can't be the case of someone walking round the van spraying water from a hosepipe gently onto the van!!! Perhaps a more thorough test would be to put the van through the rinse cycle in a car wash but can't say that I've seen many, if any, caravan dealers having this facility.

Something completely off topic now, but the wife and I went for a scuba dive this morning in the Black Forest - our first dive for several months now. This brought back many fond memories of my days in the Navy and thought I'd share an image of my Seal days.

Lechlade used to use a power wash wide spray (not enough to force joints)
and took a fair time over the test.

It surprises me that such an important issue, and one that surely all us owners have done several times over the life of the our vans, has attracted such a feeble response. Is everyone feeling somewhat lethargic after the Xmas celebrations?

Yes, and it hurts like hell. Makes reading sarcastic posts even harder to bear.

Water ingress test Should use an electrical moisture meter which detects the moisture percentage in the vans lining in numerous places around the interior. Any reading over 25% is suspect and require further investigation. This test also involves a visual inspection of the underside of the van.
