Eriba Touring Continental/Mulsanne - a rumour

As you may or may not know, Bentley cars are built in Crewe near us. Bentley are part of the VW colossus.

Rumour has it that Hymer have been talking to Bentley about sourcing leather and timber veneers for a range of very special Tourings to be launched for 2017MY (i.e. 2018, the 70th anniversary of the foundation of Hymer/Eriba). Apparently they'll have cream leather upholstery and real cherry and walnut veneer furniture plus a microwave and oven. The idea is to turn them out to the same luxurious level of design as the top of the range Hymer motorhomes.

Just a rumour, can't say how much there is in it.

Mmmm . . . gorgeous . . and I'm not talking of what's under the bonnet, Andy.

Nothing less than a V/W12 will do under there, really.

Looks as though they failed to execute a nose weight check before setting off.

My friend works for Bentley, Crewe and he told me the same thing as SDA has rumoured.....but he told me it was 'top Secret' so a leakage here somewhere!!! I am contemplating buying a secondhand Eriba to wait for a possible Special edition in a few years IF it's true but sounds like it could be.....or using my fathers Eriba this year while he is undergoing treatment .....( his suggestion)

One thing that doesn't ring true is that Hymer have decades of sourcing leather for their top range caravans and motorhomes plus decades of cabinet design and building experience. Maybe not at such an upmarket level as Bentley, but surely they don't need that help.

Well yes, if Hymer/Eriba prices are anything to go by!
