The cover is off!

On the spur of the moment this morning we decided to spend next week visiting friends and relations in Yorkshire. We'll be staying six nights at Naburn Lock just outside York, a very conveniently located and spotlessly clean site that we visited last year and really liked.

At the moment the sun is shining, I've sterilised the water system, checked the gas appliances and had the electric heater on for a few minutes. All systems are 'go' and it really feels like the start of a new touring season.

Hurrah and huzzah!

Looks good for next weekend, the forecast round there on BBC is a max of 16 degrees and light cloud/light rain, for early March that's pretty good. Oddly the forecast is for 2 or 3 degrees lower over here..

I've sterilised the water system...........

At the risk of dragging this theme up yet again can I ask:

(a) how big litres wise is your fresh water tank?
(b) what sterilising solution are you using?
(c) what strength are you using - quantity per litre?
(d) how long did you leave it in prior to flushing through the system with fresh water.?

(a) We have the 16 litre white plastic container under the sink.
(b) Elsan Fresh Water Tank Clean (Cost £5.99 for a litre)
(c) Recommended concentration is 100ml of solution to every 20 L capacity, therefore 80ml used.
(d) I've pumped the solution through the taps and will leave it to soak overnight before flushing with clean water tomorrow.
