Hasnt the weather changed from the warm hot sun to a cold wind that keeps changing direction.

Been spreading the compost heap today in preparation for the lovely potato chits currently under bed, and found some spuds that had grown in compost heap so having for tea.
was a bit cold in the wind, but such a gorgeous sun set, working on straightening back up, crawled back into house, ooo. hurtif

the great canal journeys is on more 4, quite enjoyed last weeks episode

Last Sunday we sat out at the bottom of the garden next to the Eriba with a coffee. In the week it was colder, yesterday I polished the roof but it was cold, today back to shorts and a walk into town, then home for the rugby.

No gardening for me all gravel and pots

We had a roof-down drive into the New Forest for an ice cream and a walk to the stream where we scattered our dog's ashes more than three years ago. A young family was playing with their Border Collie in exactly the same place.

Lump in throat time.

Tomorrow is set to be even sunnier. Fingers crossed.

Sorry, guys, if I dampened the mood. We rescued our dog Skip when he was about 10 months old and we had another 17 wonderful years with him so we were very fortunate.

His favourite walk was to a Forest stream from a car park near Brockenhurst where he'd swim in the deeper stretches. We like to go back there occasionally.

I should have mentioned (see edit) that we lost Skip more than three years ago (pre Eriba) but we still miss the little chap.

It's been glorious near Ferndown on the edge of the New Forest this weekend and today, blimey!
loads of prople out and the pub the Alice Lisle at Rockwood Green we used for our down downs ceremony was rammed.

I was washing, polishing and waxing the car and caravan and had to top up with water! Our garden is all gravel and the heat radiates off it.

Car and caravan now looking good for tomorrow

A little late but we pruned everything in the garden and
created enough biomass to power a reasonable sized
power station for a month.
Using Minne the Mulcher, we turned enough hedging for
the Grand National into about six carrier bags full of mulch.
We are stuck through with blackthorn and hawthorn thorns
and the odd rose talon.

just dug weeded number 2 and 3 veg patch over, and was wearing thermals buff hat and top coat to keep warm, the strong wind was sure chilly.
saw a little hedgehog snoozing out of wind, in the sun, in a wild area we created near compost bin and the birds were helping to reduce the worm population.
but upset as I managed to put folk through me best wellys missed damaging toe by millimetres but landed on a bramble while inspecting the damage, I decided veg plot 4 could wait until concentration was better but what to repair welly with hmmmm perhaps a siliconed croc widget

Brian no need, was sending support for a difficult day
