Has anyone had any experience in using this type of refillable gas bottle on their Eriba ?

There are earlier posts on Safefill if you search “gas bottles”. Issues are the initial cost and availability, however we are coverts.

I did some simple maths. £160 for the cylinder. £16 saving on each fill of 6kg. I use about 2 x 6kg cylinders a year therefore break even point is 5 years.

I believe the safefill has a larger diameter than a 6kg propane so there is not enough room in the gas box of my Triton to carry a spare 6kg cylinder.

I carry one Safefill 7.5kg and one Calor lite in the gas box of our Triton (there is a photo of this on an earlier post). A few other points to consider are that you can always set off with a full bottle and there are a series of inexpensive adapters to allow to fill up in most European countries.
