As stated this is just my point of view I don;t wish to upset anyone and my loyalties are here where the right of individuals is paramount and freedom of speech is the right of the individual just trying to propose a middle way ?

I'm not suggesting that there shouldn't be an armistice of some sort, not at all.

Might I venture to suggest, though, that when it comes to the freedom of speech - and valuing the worth of the membership above the administrators - a certain other place has rather further to travel to the line in the sand than we do.

I am not hopeful that what I propose will come to pass but merely throw the rope in the hope that it will be caught by someone with the will to pull on it and also kick some ass

As i feared "devils advocate" is a sh*t position to put ones self in but one has to hope .........................

my problem is I don't recall having an opportunity to make my point as on the day in question, I spent most of it replacing my tag / signature line, which someone (clearly with admin rights) kept deleting!

Prior to that I posted my reply along with the original pm sent by StuartAB

If you can enlighten me further I'll be quite happy to admit, confirm or deny whatever it is you recall.

Dear All,

Can I suggest that we now just let this subject drop?

The more we discuss the rights and wrongs of what did or did not happen on the Eriba Forum or who is alleged to have said what and to whom, the more we will be distracted from creating an alternative forum where people like us who enjoy a bit of fun along with our caravan chats can interact in a spirit of friendship without being subjected to petty rules and arbitrary punishments.

If Chris (or his mole) start stirring up trouble on here again, let's just ignore them.

Time to move on, guys.
